What Causes A Low Wbc Count?

I have been taking topiramate for a while now and they switch who makes it on me. I used to take the brand name. I used to always have my blood checked at least every 3 months. This last time my WBC was low is that normal?
Sorry I am 41 and I weigh 117 and have seizures and migraines. I have not had a seizure in almost 8 years.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Topiramate is known to occasionally cause decreased white cell count.
2. At present, it does not appear to be cause as he is on same medication for 8 years. You can discuss your doctor regarding reduction of dose.
3. Improved nutrition is necessary. Vit B12 specifically will be helpful. If it still reduces, bone marrow biopsy is necessary to evaluate for other causes.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again
