What Causes A Delayed Period, Breast Tenderness And Soreness With Headaches?

On October 18-25 I had my normal period. On October 31st I started bleeding again until November 3. It is Decmeber 6th and I still haven't had my period. My breast are tender(same PMS symptoms) and I occasionally have had mild tension headaches. I took a pregnancy test about 2 weeks ago and both test came back negative. My periods have always been irregular but something feels a tad bit different this time. My breast have been sore for a few days now and I'm worried that I might be pregnant. Of course this would be a blessing. I just need some professional advice. Thank you to all who are interested in my question.

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic.

2 ) You can now get your morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.

As we can consider November 3 as your last bleeding day and count December 6 as if you have crossed your dates.

3 ) In case your pregnancy test is negative, then your symptoms can be due to PMS - premenstrual syndrome. In that case I will suggest you to opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. Start on Folic acid, Vitamin B 6 long acting form and Vitamin E supplements on daily basis at least for 3 months.

Also , you can simply wait for the onset of periods or induce the periods with a course of progesterone tablets. Your treating doctor can help you to know about withdrawal bleeding after this course.

4 ) In case your pregnancy test is positive, you can either continue with the pregnancy or you can opt for termination of the pregnancy with medicines safely till 9 weeks of pregnancy under medical supervision.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
