What Causes 60% Of Dead Sperm In Semen Analysis?

Hello, just took a seminal fluid analysis and culture. i got a result that showed that i had;
10% - Active;
20% - Sluggish;
10% - Deformed;
60% - Dead.
Volume - 5.0mls;
Total Sperm Count - 30million per mls.
PH - 8.0;
Colour - light cream;
Culture - No significant growth of any Bacteria isolated after 48hrs of incubation at 37degrees Celcius.
I want to know why 60% of my sperm are dead? What can i do?

Hello

Your report suggests low sperm motility.
Normally motility should be at least 55%.Your findings indicate only 30 % motility,so it is low.

Your sperm count is normal.Normally it should be at least 20 millions /ml.

Morphology of sperms are normal.Only 10 % sperms are deformed,it is acceptable.

You need proper clinical examination and further investigations.
You need routine hemogram,RBS,ultrasound of scrotum.

You should do exercise and take nutritious food.You should also take anti-oxidants.
If infertility persists then you may need assisted fertilization techniques like IUI.
