What Cause Throat Cancer Relapse?

Hi Doc,Am a Throat Cancer Patient since 2008. Since then i have undergone about half a dozen Radio-Iodine Therapies - High Dose.After a Year of Disease Free Session I had a relapse. My Current Doc is in Pune, India and would like to get 2-3 other Opinions. Please advise.Thank you Asang

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Chances of relapse are always there in throat cancer. So its not due to any other causes. Its just due to tendency of recurrence. If you have gone for surgery then incomplete removal of malignant tissue may be the causes of recurrence. In radiotherapy also some residual tumor may be there and it causes recurrence. So just consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
