What Cause Heart Pounding In Pregnancy

I am 18 years old & pregnant. My heart beats normally, then randomly pounds hard once and then goes back to normal. I have caught it once or twice and it is just that. One hard pound then normalcy. It had been getting worse now. Not all the time, but a lot when I wake up in the morning. This happened before pregnancy also. Please help!

Hi,

You are having Palpitations. They could be caused by pregnancy or sometimes due to a medical problem like heart diseases or thyroid problems or pheochromocytomas or any other systemic illness.
Please get evaluated to rule out any pathological causes of palpitations.
get A full blood count , ECG ,thyroid levels ,Urine VMA levels done and see a physision.More so because you had them even before pregnancy.

Hope this helps .
Regards.
