Dear caring father
Your son is suffering from bells palsy and taking acyclovir which is recommended treatment for hsv positive status. Bells palsy is mostly idiopathic and recovers fully with physiotherapy. His back pain is unrelated with bells palsy . since she was taking prednisone which leads to withdrawal symptoms if stopped suddenly and so has to be stopped after tapering dosage. So if prednisone was stopped suddenly start it now and stop it after tapering dosage and she will feel better. All the best..
