What Can Be Done For Bruise Around Optic Nerve?

Hi I am a 55 year old female and I went to see my eye Dr. yesterday and he said I have a bruise that completely goes around my optic nerve... Now I have to go and see another Dr... I have never heard of this before can someone give me some info please? Thank you Ann

What ophthalmologist can see and comment is optic disc in fundus. With all this you have not said anything about your problem. What about your vision? The word used like bruise is wrong. Go to an eye doctor with specific problem so that proper diagnosis can be done.Proper treatment then only can be given.
