What Are The Treatment Suggested For Stings In Nostril With Breathing Difficulties?

My nose is very congested. The inside of my left nostril stings when I try to breathe through my nose, but if I breathe through my mouth, it dries out in my sleep and ends up very scratchy. How do I relieve the pain in my nose so I can breathe well enough to sleep?

Hi,thank you for posting your query on health care magic.

Looking at your symptoms, you are suffering from nasal blockage due to congestion in the nose.

You may find relief by taking the following medication:
Oral decongestant like Phenylephrine,Nasal decongestant drops like Xylometazoline(take decongestant only if you are not suffering from hypertension),Oral Antihistaminic like Cetrizine,Saline nasal spray which will prevent your nose from dryness and maintain moisture inside nose.

Also do steam inhalation.Drink lots of fluids warm.Avoid cold food and dust.

Hope this answers your question.Take care.
