I was told that I have diabetes and my sugar runs anywhere from 60 to 77 and then it will go up to 150-300. My A1C is 5.6. I am really confused. Do I have diabetes or is something else wrong. I have also lost 62 pounds in less than 4 months, urinate ALOT, have horrible leg pain, and just feel really tired all the time or either I feel really jittery?
Dear i can understand your concern in my opinion you might be pre diabetic is suggest you doing test called Hba1c% and GTT for further evaluation and discussion
i would like to tell you regarding diagnostic criteria of diabetes the diagnosis of diabetes requires one of the following:
• A random glucose level > 200 mg/dL in a markedly symptomatic patient(symptoms like increased urination,thirst,weight loss,blurred vision and non healing ulcers.
Honestly, I don't diagnose you with this condition; but it's definitely worth evaluation in these lines since there are many matching symptoms. Please discuss with your treating doctor.
daily exercise for 45 min and control diet. meet a dietitian for better advice. i hope lifestyle changes can revert back your pre diabetes to normal again. regards
