how can you determine whether or not someone has an eating disorder how can you see the signs of an eating disorder? for example she is a bit petite, doesn t eat around people, deny s food, is always talking about health, and doesn t reveal her weight.

In anorexia nervosa, the patient, usually females, is so health conscious that she dosen take food even to meet the bodyrequirements.

There is alsistory of sive weight loss.

Inspite of being lean if one is doing all the above, then perhaps yes. All the symptoms you mentioned suggest that she MAY have an eating disorder- anorexia nervosa. Will need psychiatric for confirming the diagnosis and further counseling her.
