What Are The Side Effects Of Using Combigan?

HI I HAVE BEEN ADVISED BY MY OPTHAMOLOGIST TO START USING COMBIGAN AS MY IOP IS BOTH EYES IS RANGING BETWEEN 22 AND 29 .I HAVE A FAMILY HISTORY OF GLAUCOMA AS MY FATHER HAD IT .I AM NOT INCLINED TOWARDS IT BECAUSE OF THE SIDE EFFECTS .I HAVE BEEN USING XALATAN FOR ABOUT 1 1/2 MONTHS PLEASE ADVISE

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having family history of glaucoma and you are advised to use combigan eye drops. Combigan is combination of brimonidine and timolol, the common side effects of it are burning sensation of eyes, confusion, weakness of fatigue, difficulty in breathing in asthmatics...
Xalatan is latanoprost and it is the first line of drug or drug of choice for treatment of glaucoma. I think that should be the first drug to be used, I do not know why it was replaced, please do contact your ophthalmologist.
