What Are The Side Effects Of Prednisone?

I am 54 years old, overweight, and have osteoarthritis in my fingers, knees, feet, hips, and spine. I have been on numerous NSAIDS, narcotics, topicals, etc. with only short term relief (I refuse joint injections). This is greatly effecting my everyday life. The only thing I have found to help the all over pain is prednisone. I understand it has side effects but I can be active and feel good on it. Is there anything like prednisone but safer?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern looking to the given history here I would like to say you that Prednisolone is the steroid and this has got the several side effects but this side effects can be avoided if the dose adjusted and tapered very cautiously, dose is matter and indication too, take care and have nice day.
