What Are The Side Effects Of Nordette 28 Pills?
Hello, me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex a day after her menstrual bleeding. The next day, she took nordette as emergency pills. She took 4 for the first dosage then another 4 after 12 hours.That s all she took. After 5 or 6 days, she started bleeding. And has been bleeding for 3 days now. Is it normal? When should the bleeding stop? When is her next period?

Your partner took Nordette 28 pills after unprotected sex. She started bleeding after 4-5 days. Nordette 28 pills is not an emergency pill, she should take 'morning after pills' in emergency after unprotected intercourse. It should be taken within 72 hours for the best efficacy. Morning after pill is a one time pill. If she is sexually active she should be on regular CP.
Contraceptive pills should be taken with a proper dosage for the best results. Vaginal bleeding between periods (spotting) or missed periods, irregular periods may occur, especially during the first few months of use of oral or implantable birth control devices. She is experiencing the side effects as the pills interfere with the hormonal level of the body. It will come to a stop, no worries, she should not stress.
In case she continues to bleed or misses the next period she should get clinically examined by an OBGYN and get pregnancy tests done to stay on the safer side. Unusual changes in vaginal bleeding (such as continuous spotting, sudden heavy bleeding, missed periods).
