Hi,

AB Phylline is a combination medication that contains theophylline and theophylline. It is primarily used to treat respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Some common side effects of AB Phylline include:
- Nausea and vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Headache
- Sleep disturbances
- Restlessness
- Irritability
- Increased heart rate
- Tremors
- Muscle cramps
- Dizziness

In some cases, AB Phylline may cause more serious side effects, such as seizures or heart arrhythmias. These side effects are rare but can occur, especially at higher doses or in individuals with preexisting health conditions.

Feeling sleepy all day is a known side effect of AB Phylline, especially in elderly individuals or those with liver or kidney problems. Your mother's age and weight may also be contributing factors to her experience of drowsiness.

It is important to discuss any concerns or side effects with your mother's healthcare provider, as they may need to adjust the dosage or prescribe a different medication. Additionally, it is important to follow the prescription as directed and not to adjust the dosage or stop the medication without first consulting with the healthcare provider.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
