My father has just been diagnosed with cml stage 2 -accelerated

what should I look out for when he starts gleevec - he will start the end of the week. Any signs that he's not responding? Sometimes he tries to keepnme from worrying so I want toknow what to expect. He is 65 - what are his chances of remission?

your father has chronic myeloid leukemia with accelerated phase. Chance of remission depends on how well he respond to treatment. He should start imatinib according to his doctor's advice. Regularly monitor her complete blood count and blast percentage. His total count and blast percentage should be decreased by drugs.
