What Are The Chances Of Having Seizures In The Future?
Hello, My daughter was a term baby, but complications during delivery left her with low blood pH and the doctors suspected neonatal seizures. She was hooked up to the Brains machine, which they only saw evidence of 1 seizure within the first 24hrs of life. She was then started on Phenobarbital, which she was only on for 6 days. She is now 11 months old, and we have not seen any signs of seizure activity. What are the chances that she has had seizures or will have seizures in the future?

You need to take care of her till the time she cross the age of 9 to 10. Or to be safer side 12.usually after this age kids brain is develop well and chances of seizers are not there. Till this age give her good nutrition like daily needed multivitamin and mineral once she cross certain age as per your pediatric doctor and at least a protein as per again your doctor advice which will reduce any thing like seizures chances and will help for proper development of body and brain. Since protein is a building block for our body. Take care

If the underlying cause of seizure was blood pH and this was treated successfully then there would be no more seizure baby would have again because this was just condition and that is being treated, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
