What Are The Causes For Dark Spots And Callouses On Feet?
hi I have very dark spots on my feet that have been there for over a month and show no sign of going away. I'm not sure what they are. i run a lot and am very rough on my feet. have thick callouses and using a scrub rock doesn't seem to be very effective. would just like to know what these dark spots are.
I can understand the concern for dark spots on feet. You have not mentioned your age, occupation and any relevant history which could have guided us to the nearest possibility.
After reading your history it appears that you might have either simple lichen simplex chronicus. To confirm the same either you can post a good resolution picture to us at: bit.ly/drsanjaykanodia or you can meet a dermatologist who will guide you properly.
I advise you to not pinch or pop the area otherwise these areas are very prone for getting more pigmented.
For time being period you can apply fluticasone cream application which you can use under dermatological guidance. If it is very dark and pigmented only then Hydroquinone can also be used but in my series of patients I prefer using Kojic acid or azelaic acid cream.
Take care.
