What Are Symptoms After Having Marina IUD Insterted?
I am 44 and do not intend to have children in the future.
I had the Marina IUD insterted Feb 28th. I have only had a couple of days since then when I didn't have spotting but mostly bleeding. How much longer should I wait before being rechecked for a possible problem?

Hi,
Marina IUD has inbuilt hormone progesterone derivative. It helps in preventing pregnancy. Progesterone is brown to cause uterine cramps, intermittent bleeding ranging from spotting, profuse bleeding or absence of periods irregularly. Breast soreness, weight gain, digestive problems etc.
The problems are more after early months of insertion and Layton tends to diminish over time. You should try to bear the problems for 2-3 months .it should get adjusted by then. Go for follow up check after that. In case of extreme suffering, you can consult your doctor for instant relief.
