What Are Side Effects Of Gemcal Nasal Spray (if Any)?
Hi m Ankita. n is undergoing treatment for Oestoporosis.I m 23 yr old, 4.8 height, weighing 42. The doctor has sugested gemcal nasal spray, hence wanted to knw its side effects & advantages and also m hvng problem of haemoglobin so m i going under correct medication?

Gemcal Nasal Spray contains calcitonin that used in the treatment of osteoporosis, Paget's disease and advanced bone cancer etc. It is also used to relieve the pain related to osteo-osteolysis and osteopenia. It helps to reduce the risks of fracture as well keeps the bone stronger.
Side effects of Gemcal Nasal Spray are nasal dryness, nasal irritation, nasal bleeding, blocked or runny nose, joint pain, headache, sinus pain, back pain, rashes, swallowing difficulties, breathing difficulties, changes in appetite, nausea, vomiting, dryness of mouth, blurred vision, hearing problems, changes in sleep pattern, flushing, allergic reactions etc. If these side effects persist for long or bother, then you should inform your doctor first for medical help. It has no known interactions with the medications that can be used for subsiding anemia.
