Vagina Bruised And Swollen, Iced It And Taken Ibuprofen. How Can It Be Healed?
my 13 year old fell off a stool about a 2 weeks ago- and landed right on her vagina- causing the inside to bruise and swell- so we did the ice on it and ibuprofen- and due to her having a difficult time walking- she stayed home from school. now her child care worker- called the nurses hotline- because she is nosy and is saying that the nurse told her to see a dr. that its not normal to still be healing and bruised- slightly
usually, these types of injuries just require time I heal and what you are doing is generally enough. they rarely cause any permanent injury. however, if it is really not getting better at all, or if it seems to be getting worse, she ahould see a doctor. the general rule of thumb is that if it seems to be getting better every day, even if it takes a few weeks, it should be fine, but if if is not improving, she should be seen. also, if the pain is severe enough that she is having difficulty doing her usual tasks, are should also be seen. I hope this helps, please let me know if you need any more information.
