Urine Analysis Report Showed Suboxone In It. Diagonosed With Dapsone Hypersensitivity Syndrome. Thoughts?

I recently had a urinalysis at my doctors office that was sent to a lab, it was for the Child protective Services, I know what medications I was taking and I did not take Suboxone and it showed up in my urine. I am not sure the amount. I was prescribed this medication because of DHS, but went off it on my own because of cost and it was just too strong for me. I took only 2 5mg Vicoden a day for about 1 year and DHS called me a drug addict and made me go on it. anyway, I cannot for the life of me figure out how suboxone would show up in my urine and have been wracking my brain. I see my doc on Thurs and will request a retake but unfortunately that damage is done and I am at risk for losing my daughter with this positive result. The only thing I can come up with is that I used to put my subs in a daily pill container which I still use and if the amount is minute could that be a reason for a positive urine? I do not know the level as I said. But I just know I did not take it. and I am going to lose my daughter if I cannot prove otherwise.

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns and I am sorry to hear that you might lose your daughter's custody if things get to their worst point. I am thinking that you should be very upfront with what happened and you may be able to get away with a warning. It might also be helpful to get a letter from your doctor and have the doctor refer you to a counselor and start you on medications. This way you may continue to retain your daughter's custody. However, these cases are never easy and is always upto how you handle it. I hope it turns out in your favor if you are saying the truth.

Take care and have a lovely day!
