Urge to urinate frequently, burning feeling, lower abdomen pain. History of cystitis, infection. Causes ?

In the last few days I have been needing to go to the toilet a lot, and when I do, I get a burning feeling, and then after I get a pain in my lower abdomen for a short period of time. I ve suffered from cystitis and bladder infections a lot through my life, especially when I was younger. So I was wondering if maybe these could be the cause?

Urologist 's  Response
Welcome to HCM.
Recurrent UTI needs series of tests like IVP and CT scan to look for the cause.
If the cause is found, you need specific treatment.
Otherwise, long term antibiotics for 3 to 6 months will be helpful to prevent recurrence.
Also, things that would help are.
1. Plenty of oral fluids
2. Cranberry juice.
3. emptying the bladder at bed time
Best regards
