USS Shows Normal Sized Uterus, No Cyst Or Fibroid, Normal Endometrial Thickness, Adnexa Bilaterally Free. What Does This Mean?
USS shows a normal sized uterus with AP diameter of 4.1cm. The echo pattern is homogeneous. The uterine outline is regular. The myometrial texture is normal. Endometrial thickness is normal. Both ovaries appear normal in size and structure. Both adnexa are bilaterally free. There is an irregular fluid collection with a depth of 2.1cm in the pouch of douglas. The fluid contains few enchogenic speckles which is a USS feature of inflammation. No cyst. No fibroid. No cyesis or retained products. What does this result mean?
The size of your uterus is 4.1 mm in transverse dimension. There is no observable problem in the uterus.
Both your ovaries are also free.
There is some little fluid behind the uterus in (pouch of Douglas) region. This can occur in non specific inflammatory condition of the female pelvis. This can cause lower back pain and discomfort.
This might not be a serious condition. Please discuss this with your doctor and take necessary treatment.
Hope this helps
