Type 2 Diabetic, Taking Glimmerpride. What To Do When Sugar Level Increases?

I have been told in the last 3 months that I have Diabetes 2. My problem is: I know what to do when my sugar levil is down, but I am not sure what to do when it is too high. I take glimmerpride 1mg once a day. Can you help me? Should I take more of the glimmerpride?

Hello,

You must know what should be your target blood sugar. FBS below 110 mg / dl and PPBS below 160 mg / dl.
For a newly diagnosed patient insulin resistance will be high. This hinders with the control of blood sugar.
So i would advice my patient to follow lifestyle modification like diet and exercise. I would add metformin tablet in addition to glimipride. This is an insulin sensitiser and will help to reduce your blood sugar.
