Type 2 Diabetes Patient. Having A Tingling In Upper Lip. What Could Be This?

Yes thank you. I am a 67 yo female with type 2 diabetes. I have notice a tingling in my upper lip several times a day. Seems I remember this possibly being a sympton of maybe a stroke or something. Just want to check and make sure I don't need to visit my dr. Has been going on for several weeks.
YYYY@YYYY Thank you.

Hello,
Don't worry it is not a sign of impending stroke.
The most likely cause for such tingling in your lips seems to be due to peripheral neuropathy caused by uncontrolled diabetes. However There can be other causes for such tingling like deficiencies of VIT B 12,potassium,calcium etc.
Excessive alcohol consumtion may also lead to it.
Control your blood sugar meticulously and get tested to look for any deficiency.
Consult your doctor to do the needful.
Thanks
