Two Year Old Child, Abdominal Pain, Mouth Pain, Slobber, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Gas. Recommendations?

My two year old daughter has been complaining that her belly hurts for 3 days now. Two days ago she started throwing up but right before she does she tells me her mouth hurts. Today she came to me screaming, with slober on her mouth saying her mouth hurts and she vomited. She has also had diarrhea for the past day and a lot of gas.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child is having acute gastroenteritis mostly due to a virus.

For vomitings you can give an anti emetic like ondansetron in prescribed dose.

Give sips of ORS like Pedialyte to maintain her hydration.

Monitor hydration by her activeness, urine output, skin turgor, and moisture of oral cavity.

Consult the pediatrician for physical examination and specific medication like probiotics and zinc.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
