Trying To Conceive And Having Thyroid Issue. Taking Medication.Had Cramps But No Bleeding. Chances Of Pregnancy?
Hi! I have been trying to conceive for 3 months now , but just found out at the end of July that I have a thyroid issue and I am now taking medication to help control it. I was hoping that the medication would help my hormones to be back to normal and my husband and I could conceive a child. I am supposed to start my period on Saturday and have had cramps everyday this week, but no bleeding yet. When I cramp I usually start spotting the same day or the very next day. Could the thyroid medicine begin to work and could I be pregnant?
Good afternoon Yes you can get pregnant once the thyroid hormones reach normal levels. So continue taking the medication for thyroid, not be stressed. Mean while it will also be good for you to do abdominal pelvic ultrasound to check the state of your internal reproductive organs, blood group of you and your partner, complete blood count etc. Hope I have answered your question, will be happy to answer more.
