Tingling In The Hands After Taking Cymbalta For Musculoskeletal Pain. Side Effect?

What a nice surprise to hear from you! No idea....!
I have been taking Cymbalta 30 mg. for musculoskelatal pain (1x/day) for 2 mo. and have tingling in both hands almost all the time now...tho' right now it's just 1 hand. Have had it periodically in one /both for a while while in bed, sure it's NOT carpal tunnel, it's all the fingers, and I figured it might be a neck thing and was about to drag out my old neck exercises. Or from something I did in the gym (I am 67, female, RA, OA.). Then I had a wild thought that it might be a side-effect from the Cymbalta, and looked it up on your WS and started to see what the med. terms were that I was not familiar with...the first one being paraesthesia! I do not see my rheumatologist for about 6 wk. Another Dr. said it can take 6-8 wk. to work. WAs in PT for foot/back issuue, not sure if the improvement was the pill, PT, or the last shot.Do you have any ideas about this? THX so much for your help! Toni S.

Hi,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

Tingling in your case might be due to
- Vitamin B12 deficiency,
- Symptom of anxiety or stress if any

So you should go for blood vitamin b12 or Vitamin D level. You may get prescription from your doctor for the same.

It is very unusual that tingling occur as a side effect of duloxetine.

Thanks.
