Tingling, Fluttery Feeling In Chest, Shoulder, Worsens On Lying. What Could It Possibly Be?

I started getting a sort of tingling but fluttery feeling in my chest yester day and when I laydown it sorta feels worse. I have been told I have a mild form of tachycardia but this feels different. I feel it into my right shoulder area and neck but my bp has been fine. My hart rate has been staying around 90 to 95. At times I feel sort of short winded. What could it pos be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,

Thank you for your query.

A heart rate of 90-95 is still considered to be normal. These could be palpitations or some other cardiac presentation.

It would be best to consult a cardiologist and get your ECG (EKG) and an echocardiography done, to rule out any underlying conditions.

This presentation could also be normal, and just be a result of change in posture and a slight change in blood pressure or just stress.

But, it is always best to discuss all new symptoms with your doctor who can also investigate it further.

I hope I have succeeded in answering your questions, you could write back to us anytime for further clarifications.

Best wishes.
