Please type your query here. Since this query is directed to our panel of specialists and super-specialists, please mention your problem in as much detail as possible. Do not forget to highlight your Age, Gender, Medical History and Treatment History of the problem you are facing Well this is in relation to my Sister's report she got TSH more in number in her Thyroid report but, her Thyroxine (T3) as well as T4 are normal in the range. So, should it be considered that she has Thyroid as her age is 27. She has got no issues now but, is planning. My mother did get Thyroid but, at the age of 55, my other elder sisters got thyroid 1 got while she was pregnant and the other got in her post pregnancy. So, has she too got Hyper Thyroid or there are chances but, she has not got it yet? Please do guide me over this. Thanking you.

TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) is a chemical released from the brain to increase T3 & T4 (Thyroid Hormones) when T3 &T4 levels start falling. Please post the exact T3, T4 & TSH readings.

If  her T3 & T4 levels are on the lower side of normal range, TSH is levels are bound to increase. If she has no signs or symptoms of Thyroid disease she may be Euthyroid (Normal) or in sub-clinical thyroid disease.

Thyroid disease is many times more common in females than in males.

You may also have to get her Thyroid Antibody Levels checked to make a diagnosis.

She may have to avoid Goitrogens (Thyroid disease causing agents) in her diet like Cabbage, Cauliflower, Tapioca (Sabudana), and Peanuts.
