Taken I-pill After Having Unprotected Sex. Delayed Period. How Do I Know If I Am Pregnant?

Dr iam 20yr old unmaried woman now at dubai.. I got unsafe sex wd ma luver on 15th august after dat i take 2 ipil tablets.. On 25th august i get ma period crctly but on this month i got no period..nw it is 10th day lated... nw am feared am get pregnant... Hw i can identify am pregnant! If am pregnant pls suggest any way to abort it... Pls doctor.. I cant do nothing n dis country... Pls help me ....

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
As you took the emergency pill within time and as you got withdrawal bleeding after taking the pills, the possibility of pregnancy is less.
Emergency pill can lead to menstrual irregularity by altering the hormonal levels.
This is more common with repeated usage of emergency pills.

Periods can get delayed due to other causes like anemia, thyroid abnormalities, stress and strain etc.
So, you once go for urine test for pregnancy.
If the test comes negative, no need to worry.
