Suggest Treatment For Systemic Hypertension
my mother is 76 yrs old . she is a known case of systemic hypertension. she has no other cormobidites. she was taking concor AM 2.5 . amlodipine 5 mg and bisoprolol 2.5. during that time her bp was 100/ 60, 110/60. she was taking this medications as per the direction of a cardiologist . She has 1/6 ASM no calcifications or clot and have good ejection fraction. since she was on concor AM 2.5 she will drowsy and sleepy after 1/2 an hour intake of concor. her pulse rate will be 60 to 65 . now she is on amlodipine 5 mg . after taking amlodipine her BP is 120/ 80, 130/ 80. should she take concor AM 2.5 mg instead of amlodipine 5 mg. thanks god bless

High blood pressure should be treated immediately to avoid complications like ischaemic stroke.I advice you to start Tab.Telma once daily.Monitor your blood pressure regularly for every one week.I advise you to get serum.electrolyte s,complete blood picture,ECG'2D Echo,lipid profile as a part of routine screening to look for any heart disease.I advise you to also start take Clopilet,Ecosprin,atorvas once abnormality is detected.Restrict salt intake to less than 6 gm per day.Fruits and fruit juices are preferable.Take plenty of fluids.Avoid smoking and alcohol. Avoid fatty foods. Also take low protein high fiber diet.Exercise regularly for 30 min.Consult your cardiologist for expert management.
