Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Tuberosity Of The Tibia

I get pain and some swelling around tibial tuberosty more laterally but also specific tenderness of some medial insertion of pes anserinus some tenderness joint line proximal head of tibia mostly medial. The pain is after activity ,running climbing ladders is the worst. Feels better after a couple of days of inactivity. After it is inflammed I have a tendency to walk a little stiff legged.

I think i have been compensating with the stiff legged walk for years causing back hip tightness. When I try to walk with normal flexion the back & hip & knee feel great but then after a while something agrevates the knee and I go back to the stiff legged compensation. I wondering if a have an ant cruciate lig issue thats causes the tibia to move excessively?
