About 2 wks ago I went to hospital for excessive bleeding and golf ball size clots, they never gave me an answer as to why this happened~just told me to take it easy and stay down. Now 2 months after baby, when I get up with the baby in arms, or do lite housework, or even stretch in the morning I start to bleed a little then stops after I stay down awhile??? It's worrying me...Also my left lower abdomen above my incision is swolen I guess it's swollen It's alot bigger than my rt side but there no pain, hospital said hernia, but my dr said not hernia probably just swollen from surgery, but 2 mnths after still swollen?? pls any advice..Thank you I appreciate your time

Hi,
Vaginal bleeding after a delivery can mean discharge of retained blood and clots exuded from the large uterine surface as the uterus involutes. The fact that you see bleeding whenever you exert should be inspected further. You can get a sonogram to check the status of the pelvic organs and also get the blood counts to rule out infections and abnormal patterns. Abdominal wound should start healing by now and complete strength recovers in two years; healing is complete by six months. Please see a surgeon for examination of the swelling ans see if this is in any way related to the vaginal bleeding. Hope this helps.
