Suggest Treatment For Swelling In Knee After A Spider Bite

My son appears to have received two bug/spider bites on his knee. It has been at least 12 hours and now it is swelling. It looks like a blister may be forming in the middle. It also appears to be pulsing. Any ideas what it could have been and what action I should take?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The swelling and abnormal appearance would be due to an inflammatory response to the insect bite.

You can consider the use of oral antihistamine and an oral anti inflammatory medication to see if it improves.
Anti inflammatory medications include ibuprofen, naproxen, cataflam. One of these can be used.

You can monitor for changes.

I hope this helps
