Suggest Treatment For Strep Throat

Hi, I had a bad chase of strep throat in the beginning of January; my left tonsil grew about double the size and was covered in white spots. The size of my tonsil never went down, and I ve had a scratchy throat the past couple days (nothing painful though). Today, I discovered that same tonsil is once again covered in spots.... what do you think could be the cause? Do I have strep again even if my throat doesn t hurt? Thanks!

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625mg twice a day for five days. Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
