Suggest Treatment For Ovarian Cyst Along With Pain In Both Sides Of Abdomen

I think I have ovarian cancer. I started having problems back in April. In may I experienced pelvic pain in my left side. The colon and rectal specialist sent me for a pelvic/abdominal ct scan. It came back normal. In August symptoms started getting worse. All the symptoms are there. September 18th my pelvic pain was excruciating especially on left side. I also had bleeding only when wiping. I went to the gynecologist but they just dismissed me without any tests. I went to an urgent care on Oct 8th and was sent for an ultrasound of just my pelvis. They found a 4cm cyst on my right ovary, but they couldnt find my left ovary. The pain has gotten really bad the last couple weeks. In both sides of pelvis. Both sides of abdomen but more in left. No weight gain but abdomen size has increased, feel full quickly, leg pain, and back pain. I have a gut feeling its more than just a cyst since my left side has been the worse.

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood your concern. At the outset, let me assure you that ovarian cancer does not occur with every ovarian cyst and pelvic pain. There are several associated factors like family history, medical history, age and fertility etc., which need to be studied. It is possible that the ovarian cyst may be causing the pelvic pain and at its size, surgical intervention can be planned. This also helps in proper observation and if necessary removal of the ovaries, totally or partly after a biopsy of the cyst intraoperatively. Hope this helps.
