Suggest Treatment For Inflammation In The Eye

Hi,I went on a motorcycle ride today and my left eye is inflammed and red. There is no pain in the eye but feels very dry. I wore sunglasses while on the motorcycle ride and yet heavy wind was hitting my face and irritated the eye. What can I do at home to alleviate the redness and irritation? At home, I removed my contact lenses and flushed my eyes out with normal saline. For medical history, I have no significant medical history such as diabetes or high blood pressure. I have history of myopia, astigmatism in the right eye, and foreign body removal in the left eye in 2010, but it was not due to riding a motorcycle or eye injury. The foreign body was due to some sort of debris that flew into my eye and was removed.I wear contacts and glasses. Thanks for your help,Lisa :)

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
if your redness last for couple of hours after a ride then you don't need active treatment and only lubricants are suffice but if persist for more than a day then need to consult ophthalmologist to rule out active inflammation which needs steroid eye drops only under ophthalmologist supervision
