Suggest Treatment For Flu And Diarrhoea In A Pregnant Woman

i am 28 weeks pregnant and had what appeared to be the flu on 12/24/11, lasting about 18 hours. Since then i have had diarrhea consistently and have felt like vomiting about 1 time a week. I have not been on any antibiotics. I am getting concerned as to why i cant shake this

Hi,
I understand your concern.
Like viral fever diarrheoa is also a self limiting condition-
* only one has to -
-avoid dehydration by taking plenty of boiled water with ORT powder (1 spoon in one glass of water).
-Take easy to digest food ( boiled rice with curds, refreshing fluids like lemon water, buttermilk, tea/coffee with less milk, sago pudding)
Take rest.
The loose motions should be controlled within a couple of days.
* If there is no relief/ if dehydration sets in - one has to seek medical aid/ IV fluids
- Culture of stool sample & addition of suitable anti diarrheal as per exper doctor's advise.
