General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is quite common and is due to reactive edema seeping in to face. You have to get a CT head to look for the severity of the injury and to look for associated head injury. Most cases respond well with anti inflammatory drugs and compression dressing. You can apply ice packs for faster recovery. If there is any signs of infection, antibiotics must be started.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
