Pediatrician 's  Response

Dear Parent,

The symptoms suggest that your child may be having a viral/ bacterial infection and needs to be seen by a pediatrician for the diagnosis and to know if antibiotics would be needed. In the meantime you can use general hygiene measures like clean his bedding, use a separate towel for the infected eye, wipe off the discharge from his eyes with cotton and lukewarm water.
