Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Adenoids In A Child

Hello, My 5 year old has enlarged adenoids, and is actually having surgery to remove them this coming Friday. My question to you is... Her nose is severely congested, but she can not blow anything out when she tries. If a little does come out, it has a pink tint to it (which looks like blood)... Is this normal? Her congestion seems to be getting worse.
