General Surgeon 's  Response
HI.
This is called Sleep Apnoea and can occur from various causes including enlarged tonsils.
IT is not always a single factor that causes this .
You have to undergo the sleep apnoea studies with endoscopy in sleeping mode and / or MRI to determine the cause.
Simply removing the tonsils may not serve your problem.
You can have a test and treatment with CPAP machine and go for surgery only if the indication is there .
