Suggest Treatment For Cnes And Bacterial Skin Infection

Hi, my age is 23 and i m a female. I am suffering from acnes and bacterial skin infection from past 2 months. My WBC count is 11600. Theses are spreading at a very high speed on all over my face and upper body. Pain, irritation and itching is also occurring very rapidly. Doctors have prescribed me the following mentioned tablets, but I found no result:
1. Azee 500
2. Zitcare
3. Bricacef 325
4. Avitin -7
5. Evion Forte
Can you tell me is these medicines are good for the disease I am suffering from and by what time these medicines will show visible effect on my face? (Note: I am taking these medicines fro past 3 week.)
Can you give me any other advice!

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM.

If i was your treating doctor i would have continued with Azee(Azithromycin). I don't find the need to prescribe a second antibiotic (bricacef) because Azithromycin would be good enogh for both Acne as well as bacterial skin infection. Oral Zinc does'nt have any specific/definitive role in acne and neither do i prescribe in my patients

For severe Acne OR for Acne unresponsive to traditional anti-acne medications, Isotretinoin can be started. It the only drug which offers any chance of long term cure and after a full course of isotretinoin significant number of people never have a recurrence of there acne. It should be taken under the supervision of a dermatologist because of certain lab tests which are to be done before and during treatment with isotretinoin.

Topical treatment: Is a valuable adjunct to any form of oral treatment.

Topical Antibacterials: Either clindamycin 1%/ benzoyl peroxide 2.5% OR Nadifloxacin can be used twice daily

take care
regards
