Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain And Difficulty In Swallowing With Asthma

My 8yr old son is 4 ft tall and weighs about 75-80 lbs he sporadically complaints Of pain in the Middle of his chest also has pain in his ankles and headaches at times..he is asthmatic. And is currently! on an asthma action plan oh yea sometimes he says its hard toq swallow ...can u help me please?

HI...by what you quote I feel that the kid is having severe form of GER (gastroesophageal reflux). Your son will need -

1. Antireflux therapy - Proton pump inhibitors + antiemetics
2. Always make him lie down in a propped up position - as in the care seat. He should not be sleeping completely flatly.
3. Avoid heavy feeding and feeding more times and in small aliquots.
4. This type of GER is the root cause for the constipation he is having.
He needs expert gastroenterology consultation.
