Suggest Treatment For Central Canal Stenosis In Lower Lumbar Region

I have been diagnosed with severe central canal stenosis of my lower 4 lumbar. I am 49. I have severe right hip and right thigh pain and can only walk about 40m at a time. I now have numbness in my left hand in two last fingers. Is this consistent with stenosis and what are my options to 1. Short term reduce the pain and 2. Long term result. Regards Steve
