Suggest Treatment For Burning In Tongue And Sinus Congestion

I started feeling some burning in my tongue Monday it felt like it was coated. Along with that some sinus congestion Wednesday I began having some minor numbness in my face on that side. This has worstened as time has gone by. I've gotten some relief using a nasal rinse and use flonase nightly.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

As per your complain burning tongue and coating on tongue can be most commonly due to fungal infection known as Oral Thrush and this fungal infection commonly causes burning sensation of tongue..

Sinus congestion can be due to bacterial or viral infection and due to this there can be feeling of pressure and numbness over the face..

Nothing to worry as both the conditions are treatable..

For burning in tongue and coating you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and in case of thrush Nystatin mouthwash gargles and Clotrimazole Lozenges and taking more of probiotics like Yoghurt and garlic can help..
For burning sensation suck ice pops, gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine and avoiding spicy food can relieve..
Also take a multivitamin tablet for 1 month..

For sinus infection consulting an Otolaryngologist and getting evaluated for the exact cause of the congestion and getting treated accordingly can help..
As of now do steam inhalations, use saline nasal sprays and use humidifier in your room can help..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
