General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history and understood the concerns.

Irregular periods is not related to the anal fissures and you are already being treated for the same.
Anal fissures is a condition in which you get small cuts at the anal verge.
This is usually recurrent and occur as a result of intestinal infection or due to passage of hard stools.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Take a laxative or stool softener as needed to have soft stools.
Sitz bath in a tub with warm water relieves pain.
Consult a General Surgeon for clinical examination, ano-proctoscopy if there is no pain.
He may prescribe you an antibiotic, Metronidazole and probiotics for 5 days.
Avoid the foods and beverages that cause the problems.
If the medical management fails to cure the fissures then you may need a small corrective surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
General Surgeon
