Suggest Treatment For IBS And Panic Attack?

HI what are the medications for IBS ? I have been suffering with these symptoms for about 7 years did not know what was the cause. I have been taking Lansoprazole for about 3 years now but the symptoms are still there. Recently i was on a 10hour flight as soon as the flight took off i heart rate was increased had trouble breathing, it was exactly like a panic attack and i felt like someone was squeezing my chest. i thought i was going to pass out. i was a not a good feeling at all. fro the whole 10 hours my chest was like blocked with some gas. i felt dizzy, light headed, brain fog, basically i felt like i had few shots of whiskey. I cannot read while i`m on public transport i fell dizzy and i burp most of the time. can anyone please tell me that any of you guys are experiencing the same symptoms. If so tell me what should i tell my doctor because he cannot figure out whats wrong with me. I have done my eyes tested, ears tested, no high or low blood pressure, and i am 28 years old and this symptoms are seriously disturbing my lifestyle. please please please somebody help me.

IBS is very much tied to chronic anxiety. And panic attacks such as what you experienced on the plane, also arise from underlying anxiety. So, you must treat the anxiety to get relief in the other areas. It will take a combination of medications (usually daily anti-depressants that treat anxiety also, with occasional anxiolytic meds for when panic is rising), combined with regular psychotherapy. Once you calm your brain sufficiently, you will calm your body more consistently.
