Suggest Solution For Cholesterol Problem
I am a 61 year old female, non-smoker, non-drinker, no family history of heart disease. Bp was 130/94 today. I have high cholesterol but Framingham study puts me at less that 2 for risk, so am on no med for it. Used to take mevacor, but high liver enzymes caused Dr, to take me off it. Cholesterol is not significantly higher without meds.

As I can see you do not seem to have many CV risk factors apart from slightly high BP.
I suggest very good diet - low in fat & Carbs - high protein & also good amount of exercise - also it really depends on initial level of cholesterol & how high it was - this will decide if you need to start taking any medications to bring levels down quickly.
